Volunteers are the backbone of Special Olympics Indiana. If you are seeking a volunteer opportunity that can make a difference in your life and the lives of others, than look no further. Special Olympics Indiana needs you! When you volunteer with Special Olympics Indiana you will have the opportunity to make a genuine impact. Whether you volunteer your time year-round, seasonally or simply for a single-day event, it is an experience you’ll be destined to remember forever. Volunteers are classified in two ways. Class A – any volunteer who has regular contact with athletes. Examples include:
•Unified Sports® Partners
•Volunteer Leadership / Management Positions
Class A volunteers are required to complete a five-step application and training process. Click the button below for more details on the process and to become a Class A volunteer.
Class B – any volunteer who has single day event responsibilities. Contact our volunteer coordinator

"I promise to give of the time in my life, so that Special Olympics athletes can have the time of their lives. I promise to support Special Olympics not just as an expression of charity, but as a form of respect for my fellow human beings. I promise to spread the word of volunteerism because in giving,
I receive so much more in return."
