Welcome to Special Olympics of Hamilton County
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round training and athletic competition
in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities,
giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage,
experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts and friendship with their families,
other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
About SOHC
Athletes in Hamilton County have participated in Special Olympics for many years in programs
at Tri-County Opportunity School, Janus Developmental Services, Carmel-Clay Special Services Coop,
Noblesville High School, and other small local programs. The current Special Olympics Hamilton County
is the first registered county-wide program.
